Larry Verran Sr., of Flint, MI went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Born in Flint, MI, March 11, 1938, to Clarence and Glenadine “Vickie” Verran.
He was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran church in Flint, MI and will be greatly missed by his church family.
At the beginning of his work career, he started in the mail room at General Motors. He continued to work his way up until he retired as the Traffic Manager at Flint V8 Engine Plant. Larry retired from Flint V8 Engine Plant in 1991.
From a young man his passion was cars. He restored and built many beautiful cars and hot rods throughout his life. He belonged to many car clubs and had many friends in the area who shared their love of cars. He loved to travel to car shows with sons, family and friends.
He was a loving father and grandfather. His Family was the focus of his life. He was loved and respected by many people for his kindness and generosity.
Larry is survived by the love of his life, Linda; his son, Larry Jr. and his wife, Nancy and their two children, Larry III and Brittany; his son, Lane; his daughter, Darcy; his son, Kerry and his wife, Kelli and their son, Lucas; his son, Eric; his sister, Laura and husband, Dick; his sister, Beth and husband, Ken; his sister, Kim and her husband, Harold; his brother, Chuck and wife, Noelle; his sister, Karen Reeser; many nephew and nieces; and his beloved Labrador, Rosie.
Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Thursday and 10AM-1PM and 3-7PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. The funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
