WHITMAN, Vicki Sue (Hartman) – of Davison, MI, age 74, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 following a very brief battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 5 PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd I. Frusti officiating. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-5 PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Genesee County, Genesee County Animal Control or The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan, in Vicki’s memory.
Vicki was born in Flint, MI on November 1, 1949, daughter of the late Victor and Elwanda (Ross) Hartman. From a young age, Vicki could often be found gardening with her parents. She planted in abundance and shared the fruits of her labor with all. Vicki was a great cook, but you’d better ask for the recipe right away! She was known to misplace them. Vicki had a great love of animals and cared for each and every one she met. She loved a good bargain, and especially enjoyed finding special things for her family. Vicki loved gathering with close friends and reminiscing about days at her former job, Genova Products, and catching up on the latest news. Being a mother and a grandmother was Vicki’s greatest joy. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for any of them. She was selfless with her love, time, and treasures.
Vicki’s memory will be kept alive and cherished by her 3 children, Megan (Bobby) Hill, Brett (Crystal) Whitman and Ryan (Carrie) Whitman; 5 grandchildren, Reese, Griffin, Sloane, Dylan and Oliver; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Elwanda Hartman and her sister, Nicki Sayad.
