LARMOR, Joel Dennis – of Burton, MI, age 76, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, September 21, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Interment, with Military Honors performed under the auspices of the Davison American Legion Post #267, immediately following the service in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018 and 10-11 AM Friday, September 21, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Joel was born in Flint, MI on January 24, 1942, son of the late Douglas and Glenola (Bohms) Larmor. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1960. Joel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Gayle Krueger on May 1, 1965. Joel retired from General Motors after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Davison American Legion Post #267. Joel was an avid outdoorsman, enthusiastic University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching television game shows.
Joel is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gayle; 2 children, Jennifer (John) VanBuren and Rebecca (Matthew) Larmor; 3 grandchildren, Joelle VanBuren and her father, Paul VanBuren, Brendan and Jacob Larmor; 2 siblings, Judy (Roger) Morgan and Joyce Pascall; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Jack Larmor.
