CIMBALIK, Amelia - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, September 2, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, September 6, 2019 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM where rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Visitation will also be 10 AM Friday until the time of the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Food Pantry.
Amelia was born August 17, 1928 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Leon and Mary (Potoczny) Justynski. She was a 1946 graduate of Flushing High School. She married William Cimbalik May 24, 1952 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flint and he preceded her in death September 7, 2012. She had resided in Swartz Creek her entire life. Amelia had been employed by Swartz Creek Middle School. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she was involved in the Altar Society. She also was a volunteer at Goodwill Industries. Amelia enjoyed cooking, baking, playing games, traveling, and taking walks.
Surviving are: her children, Dan (Diane) Cimbalik of Flushing, Anne (Rick) Beebe of Swartz Creek, Nancy Ocenasek of Swartz Creek, Bill (Cathy) Cimbalik of Grand Rapids, and James Cimbalik of Swartz Creek; grandsons, Eric Cimbalik of Albuquerque, NM, Brett (Christine) Cimbalik of Chicago, IL, and Stephen Cimbalik of Grand Rapids; sister, Mary Ann (Miles) Miller of Swartz Creek; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Cimbalik; son-in-law, John Ocenasek; sisters, Josephine Kulinec and Nellie Brakora. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
