GALEY, David Allen – of Flint, age 48, passed away June 25, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held 1 PM Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Angie Ridley officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Saturday, 12-1 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
David was born in Flint, MI on June 17, 1966, son of Gerald and Karen (Hitchcock) Galey. He married Lesa Rio on March 1, 1986. He graduated from Kearsley in 1984. David was an avid bowler and was a huge Michigan State fan. He worked for Performance Peddler.
David is survived by his wife, Lesa; daughter, Jennifer; dog “son”, Levi; parents, Jerry and Karen Galey; brother, Wayne and family of Scappoose, OR; sister, Tammy and family; special uncle and aunt, Paul (Judy) Walker; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
