Doyle Franklin Butler Jr. was born November 15, 1959 in Paragould AR and passed away
peacefully on January 5, 2018 surrounded by family in Davison MI. All are invited to celebrate his life 10 am, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors from 12 noon – 6 pm, Wednesday, January 10, at the funeral home. Son Ryan Szukhent officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, master craftsmen, accomplished artist and published poet. His hobbies included knapping arrowheads, fabricating hunting bows, and wild game hunting. He is remembered by son Ryan Szukhent, and wife Katie of Fenton, father Doyle Butler Sr. of Lennon, sister Linda Ross and husband Bob of Davison, sister Shelia Carpenter of Flint, Marsha Langley and husband Brad of Indiana, and sister Janella Wagner of Otisville. He is preceded in death by his mother Barbra Wagner. He will be deeply missed by friends and family.
