RUSINEK, Eugene – Of Flint, age 83, went to be with the Lord on
Monday, July 11, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at All Saints Catholic Church, G-4063 West Pierson Road, Flint, Father Anthony Majchrowski officiating. Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Rusinek will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass. Mr. Rusinek was born in Poland on July 21, 1927, the son of Lotia and Frank Rusinek. Surviving are wife of 49 1/2 years, Maria; sons, Eugene H. and wife Kelly, Stanley C. and wife Julie, John F. and wife Joanie; grandchildren, Andrew, Mitchell, Shane, Logan, Jack, Emma, Kristen and Katie; sister-in-law, Maria; brother-in-law, John; nieces, Lydia (Robert) and Elizabeth; nephews, Christopher, John (Micki), Fred (Sherry), Tom (Shannon) and Joe (Sandra). Eugene was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being a member of Dom Polski, doing handiwork around the house, reading, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Rusinek was employed by General Motors V-8 Engine Plant as a Machine Repairman and retired in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kazimiera; brothers, Stanley and Julian (who was a member of the Polish Army and has been missing since 1942.)
