WILSON, Marion – Of Flint, age 85, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 711 South Saginaw, Flint, The Rev. Barbara Cavin officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Wilson will be at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
Marion was born in Flint, Michigan on February 16, 1927, the daughter of Weston and Frances (Jenkins) Chaffer and grew up in Fostoria.
She graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in 1945.
On October 22, 1949 she married Arnold Wilson.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and they merged with St. Paul’s Episcopal.
She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, doing needle-point, crossword puzzles, was an avid card player and she loved working in the yard in her flower beds.
Arnold and Marion have wintered in Mission, Texas for the past 22 years, where they have many hobbies and enjoyed many friends.
Surviving are her devoted and loving husband, Arnold “Ivan”;
three children, Mark Wilson, Scott Wilson and Lori Hernandez;
five grandchildren, Lindsay (Shannon) Livengood, Ryan (Jami) Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Jason Wilson and Leah Hernandez;
nephews, Jim Chaffer and Terry (Gina) Chaffer.
She was preceded in death by brother, Walter and son-in-law, Phred Hernandez.
