SWEET, Joseph M. – of Grand Blanc, age 70, passed away February 8, 2018 at his home. Per Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Joe was born in Flint, MI at Hurley Medical Center on July 16, 1947, son of the late Martin J. and Mary A. (Gulvas) Sweet. He married Charleen Weatherwax on July 24, 1971 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flint. Joe worked for Delphi, formerly AC. He joined the Flint Banjo Club at the age of 42 and enjoyed playing pool and cards. Joe and his wife Charleen spent many years, snowmobiling and touring Michigan with old cars –Back to the Bricks.
Joe is survived by his wife of 46 years, Charleen Sweet; son, Terence Sweet; brother, Martin (Peggy) Sweet; sisters-in-law, June (Louis), Rosemary and Donna. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Wanda and brother-in-law, Donald; mother-in-law, Anna and father-in-law who was like a second father to him, William Weatherwax.
