ERNST, Donald - From Flint, age 83, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Courtyard Manor-Fenton.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, July 9, 2018 at St. John Vianney Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint.

Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday July 8, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
The Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Memorial Service and 4th Degree Memorial Service will begin at 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the Mass.
Donald was born in Flint on October 6, 1934, the son of the late Frank and Kathryn (Huntley) Ernst. He married Norma J. Currie in Flint on November 26, 1955 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 1999. Donald was employed with General Motors for 44.5 years retiring in 1998. He was a member of Clarkston Rotary, Davison Knights of Columbus #4090 and former member of St. John Vianney Church and St. Daniels Catholic Church in Clarkston, Michigan.
Surviving are sons, Donald (Klara), Christopher (Tracey);
daughters, Therese (Dean) Martin, Diane (Earl) Greene, Denise (Alex) Mussak and Laura (Jim) Klonica;
21 loving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren;
sister, Mary Jane Gunderson;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa.
