WEIDNER, Randy R. - Of Flint, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Randy was born in Flint on July 30, 1949, the son of Billie (King) Weidner and the late Marvin Weidner and was a resident of Flint. On June 10, 1966, he married Margaret “Ruth” Hamby. Randy was a self-employed flooring installer most of his life. He was a member of the Old Newsboys of Flint and Camp Limits in Bergland. Randy was an avid hunter and sports fan. He loved his family and watching his grandchildren playing sports and performing.
Surviving are wife, Margaret “Ruth”;
children, Randy (Kelly) Weidner Jr., Carey (Jim) Shemes, Heather (Bill) McMullen;
grand-children, Nicholas, Tanner, Austin, Sawyer, Dylan;
mother, Billie Weidner;
brother, Scott (Susan) Weidner;
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin.
