Douglas N. Borrow age 55 of Durand, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Memorial Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Pastor John Walworth will be officiating. Burial will follow to Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon. Family will receive friends on Monday, from 4-8 PM.
Douglas Nevin Borrow was born August 21, 1968 in Flint, a son of August and Patricia (Shive) Borrow. On December 7, 1991 he married Kathy Webb. Doug enjoyed his pontoon boat, hunting, fishing, traveling, concerts, playing cards, going to the cabin in Harrison, and coaching his kids in wrestling. Some of his favorites were MSU sports, the Pittsburg Steelers, country music, watching the History Channel, being a Paw Paw to his 4 grandsons, and his dalmatian dog Meeka. For 28 years, he worked for Perrin Construction and the past 10 years at Chelsea Lumber. He was always known for his strong work ethic and helping hand.
Douglas was a loving husband, father and grandfather. he is survived by his wife, Kathy Borrow; daughter, Crystal Borrow; grandchildren, Bentley, Deryck and Preston; siblings, Gus (Brenda) Borrow and Melanie (David) Olsen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Wesley; grandson, Parker; parents, August and Patricia; brother, Timothy; sister, Debbie; and niece, Morgan.
