DALE, DONALD WILLIAM age 72, died Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donald was born April 14, 1946 in Flint, MI to parents Gordon and Gale (Rundles) Dale. Donald graduated from Dye High School and was past President of the Vietnam Veterans VVA Chapter #175, a member of the Gaines Lions Club, a member of the UAW #659 where he served as Veterans Rep. and Committeeman, a recipient of the Walter Reuther Award, active in the Toys For Tots and the Old News Boys, a volunteer for Hospice, a member of the Saginaw Valley Antique Car Association of Michigan and volunteered for the Goodrich Ambulance Service. He served in the U. S. Navy and very active volunteer in veterans affairs at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital. Don retired from Flint Metal Fab. Donald touched any life he came into with his generous heart and he loved his family dearly. Surviving are children Steve (Tammy) Bearup,, Kristina Ray (Eugene) Gaines, Jeffery L. (Beth) Bearup; grandchildren Kandis (John ) Pfaff, Kasondra (Brandon) Woodard, James L. Bearup, Jennifer Lynn Bearup, Chandler J. Noyce, Sam Bearup; great-grandchildren Cooper Woodard and Ruby Woodard; sister Diane Dale Austin and her husband Daniel; nieces and nephews Michelle Austin, George (Larisa) Austin, Jeelin (Earnest) Austin-Payne, Jennifer (David) Austin-Marshall, Alex (Christina) Austin, David Austin and 9 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Gordon, mother Gayle, and brother David Dale Also by his wife Arlene in 2012 “Who he was a Saint to”.
