SHEETS, James Robert, Jr. - Of Flint, age 65, died peacefully Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial service will be held 3pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation has taken place.
Pastor Renee Varner officiating.
Visitation 1pm Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James was born in Montcalm, West Virginia on April 20, 1954, the son of James and Lena Sheets. Jim retired from General Motors and owned several small businesses. Jim was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan and loved all Detroit sports teams. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Anthony (Juliana) Sheets and Michael (Jenni) Sheets;
Daughter, Meagan (Scott) Allen;
Grandchildren, Javier, Carson, AJ and Julian;
Siblings, Jennifer (Jeff) LaRochelle and Karen (Patrick) Bernardi;
a niece and 2 nephews;
And close friend, Guadalupe Sheets.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Avery.
