O’MALLEY, William “Bill” – of Flint, passed away June 9, 2015 in Ann Arbor. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, June 13, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2500 N. Franklin Ave., Flint; Rev. Fr. Santhiyagu Arockiyasamy celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint.
Bill was born in Flint, MI, son of the late John and Mary O’Malley. Bill knew a large portion of Flint personally. He was part of a large morning coffee group of gentlemen at McDonalds. Bill enjoyed the gym and was a member of the YMCA in Flint. He faithfully attended Mass daily and was a man of faith. Bill enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was outgoing, open about life and a child at heart. He loved to tell jokes and will remembered for his humor.
Bill is survived by his children, Sean O’Malley Mariam (Stanley) Deland, Teresa (Shannon) O’Malley and Catherine (Jaime) Fabbri; grandchildren, Larissa, Hailey, Amerah, Colin, Avery, Camilo and Leyla; sisters, Enda, Margaret and Eileen; many loving nieces and nephews.
