DAVIS, JOSEPHINE D. - Of Flint, age 91, died Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ruth VanderSande officiating.
Burial in Flushing Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
Citizens For Animal Rescue & Emergencies (C.A.R.E.), 7429 Alexander Street, Mt. Morris, MI 48458.
Visitation 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Josephine was born in Flint, Michigan on July 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Sharon and Edna (Metzger) Rockwell.
She was a volunteer with McLaren Auxiliary and a former IBG member.
Mrs. Davis was employed by General Motors Chevrolet Truck Plant for 32 years, retiring in March 1985.
Surviving are her 3 children, Terri Corsi, Vicki Davis, Steve and wife Lisa Davis;
8 grandchildren, Rachelle, Marina, Nicole, Sam, Lauren, Steven, Sarah and Leslie;
11 great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Al Davis; her parents; great-grandson, Dylan Redlawsk; brothers, Kenneth Rockwell and Howard Rockwell; sisters, Thelma Kinsey and Mildred Harris.
The family extended a special thank you to family friends, Elsey Bizure and her daughter, Nicole.
