Marcilene Marie Raleigh
Age 89 of Montrose passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Nelson-House Funeral Home New Lothrop Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 31.
Marcilene was born on May 20, 1927 to Lawrence and Dorothy (Walworth) McKone in New Lothrop. She graduated from New Lothrop High School. She married JD Raleigh on June 22, 1946 in New Lothrop.
During her life, Marcilene worked as a seamstress for Mitchell–Bentley and she was also self-employed. She loved music, and she played the piano. She also enjoyed dancing.
Marcilene is survived by her sons, Roger, Randall, and Russell Raleigh; her daughters, Linda Baldwin and Dianne Barney; her eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is predeceased by her husband JD, her grandson Brandon Baldwin, and her parents.
