PEREZ, Mark – Of Clio, age 63, died Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Visitation will be held 2-8pm Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home.
Deacon Tony Verdun officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
Mark was born in Flint on October 18, 1956, the son of the late Aciano and Gregoria Perez. On October 12, 1985, he married Kathleen Hughes in Flint. Mark was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a devoted friend. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, detailing cars and had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. Mark also had a huge passion for music. You could often find him working in the yard with his dog (Shorty) by his side. He was a unique thinker who strived to be of help wherever he could. Mark is loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving are wife, Kathleen;
Son, Mark (Erin)Perez;
Daughter, Marcella (James) Lloyd;
Grandchildren, Sophia, Mateo and Tobias;
Brother-in-law, Martin (Sandy) Hnatiuk;
And many nieces and nephews.
