Wendt, Alma Rose - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died October 11, 2019 at her home. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, October 16 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Rudy Papes celebrant. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 9 PM with a 7 PM rosary on Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 10 AM until the time of the mass Wednesday at church. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to, Masses or Hurley Children's Miracle Network.
Alma was born July 7, 1930 in Palms Michigan the daughter of William Patrick Molloy and Anne Elizabeth (Lang) Molloy. She married Otto R. Wendt on January 17, 1953 in Palms. He preceded her in death November 25, 2017. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1958 and was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Surviving are: 14 children, Rosann McCallum of Gaines, Robert Wendt of Swartz Creek, Linda (Steve) Taddei of Swartz Creek, Lee (Patricia) Wendt of Gaines, Theresa (Don) Adamson of Grand Blanc, Alma (Dennis) Jozwiak of Grand Blanc, Diana Wendt of Flint, Ralph (Carolyn) Wendt of Gaines, Joyce (Paul) Carroll of Fenton, Edward (Corrie) Wendt of Owosso, Paul Wendt of Swartz Creek, Ann (Dave) Ales of Grand Blanc, Marie Wendt of Grand Blanc, Cathy (Chris) Betts of Swartz Creek; 37 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Jerome Booms, Karl Wendt; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Mark McCallum; grandsons, Matthew Wendt and Thomas Wendt; and siblings, Urban Molloy, James Molloy, Mary Wetzel, Ann Varty, and Millie Booms
