Age 84 of Owosso passed away Friday, May 18, 2018.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Thursday, May 24, 2018, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutimana officiating. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 6-8 pm.
George was born August 12, 1933, in Saginaw, the son of Milton and Erma (Clark) Ramos.
He attended Flint Junior College and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952-1957 and was a member of the Marine Corps League and St. Vincent de Paul. He enjoyed sailing, being near the water, reading, and watching Fox News.
George married Geraldine M. Gallagher in Flint on August 16, 1958.
He is survived by his wife; their children Robin (Robert Jr.) Nelson, Rebecca (Terry) Abbott, Thomas (Lynn) Ramos, Christopher (Charlene) Ramos, Paula Ramos, Rachel (Benjimin) Hannah and Nicholas (Jennifer) Ramos; grandchildren Alexander, Torri, Matthew, Christopher, Justin, Jordan, Gavin, Luke, Joshua, Isabella, Matilda, August "Gus", Dominick, Andrew and Evelyn; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Michigan Eye Bank or St. Vincent de Paul.
