Thomas, Margaret L. – of West Branch, formerly of Flint, age 81, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at her residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 1, 2014 at Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Bob McGraw officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday from 4-8 PM and Sunday from 2-8 PM.
Margaret was born August 23, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to the late Verlin and Lorraine (Todd) Rodabough. She married Charles "Hoover" Thomas on September 2, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1998. Margaret retired from Buick Motor Division with over 30 years of service and was the first female foreman in Buick history. She was also a member of UAW Local 599. She enjoyed bingo, golf, bowling and reading.
Surviving are: 6 children: Kathy (Butch) Gorecki of AuGres, Ann (Ben) Dieleman of Standish, Chuck (Cheryl) Thomas of Grand Blanc, Lorri (Bob) Henderson of Clio, Bob Thomas of West Branch and Rich (Jennifer) Thomas of Davison. 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Brother: Ron Rodabough; Sisters: Betty McMichael and Linda Smith. Margaret was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janette, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
