RICHARDSON, Margaret Marie. – of Clio, age 99, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Covenant Health Care of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Bradley Richardson officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12PM until 8PM and Saturday from 1PM until the time of service. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Margaret was born April 13, 1917 in Clio, Michigan to the late Orville and Mona (Miller) Cummings. She had resided in the Clio, Mt. Morris and Millington areas throughout her life and attended Clio Schools. Margaret married Claude Richardson May 20, 1935. He preceded her in death March 11, 1985. She was a Nurse’s Aide with St. Joseph Hospital and was also a lunch lady with Clio Schools. Margaret was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed dancing, crafts, crocheting, bike riding, flower gardening and BINGO. Margaret loved spending time with all her grandbabies.
Surviving are: Daughter, Dianne (Bill) Blakely of Millington; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; Daughter in law, Carole Richardson of Clio; Margaret was also preceded in death by her son, Gordon L. Richardson in 2012; Daughter, Phyllis L. Kaufmann in 2015; Great-granddaughter, Maci Alpaugh and brother, Harold Cummings.
