Bernice Leser – Age 85, of Grand Blanc died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. Mrs. Leser was born October 19, 1930 in East Prairie, Missouri the daughter of George and Birdie Whitlock. She moved to Flint in 1953 and began working at Halo Burger in downtown Flint until 1960, where she met her husband Jim. Bernice enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and she loved her dog Jasper. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church for 40 years. Surviving are her children, Dennis Leser, Bruce Leser, and daughter, Kim Leser. Mrs. Leser was preceded in death by her parents, husband James in 1991, brothers and sisters, George Whitlock, Helen Marks, Thelma Boyd, Howard Whitlock, Dorothy Uselman-Ladzik. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hill Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Phoenix United Methodist Church 4423 S. Genesee Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Reverend Greg Rowe will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com. |
