MARTIN, Danny Michael – of Goodrich, MI, age 79, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd I. Frusti officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Parkinson Foundation or Trinity Lutheran Church, in Danny’s memory.
Danny was born in Flint, MI on June 8, 1945, son of the late Alan and Clarissa (Hartman) Martin. He was a graduate of Southwestern High School Class of 1963. After more than 30 dedicated years, Danny retired from AC Spark Plug/Delphi in 2000, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Danny married, Karen Finley, on October 20, 1990, in Davison, MI. A devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danny was known for his unwavering faith and service to others. An avid HAM radio operator, his call sign was KB8TLU, through which he connected with countless friends. Danny had a remarkable talent for fixing anything that came his way, earning him a reputation as a genius in the eyes of many. He was also deeply committed to guiding the next generation, serving as an Explorer Scout Leader at AC and a Boy Scout Leader, where he inspired young minds with his wisdom and enthusiasm. Above all, Danny cherished his family. His love and devotion to them were evident in everything he did. Danny leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Danny is survived by his wife, Karen Martin; 4 children, Raymond (Claire) Martin, Dawn (Kevin Nolley) Karn, Amanda (Rob) LaGreca and DeeAnn (Rusty Lee) Edgley; grandchild, Chance (Katie) Karn; 2 siblings, Kathy (Steve) Lowery and Laurie (Dave) Bush; sister-in-law, Diane Martin; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan Martin and Clarissa Martin; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Martin and Timothy Martin; 3 siblings, David Martin, Paul (Nancy) Martin and Rebecca (Jerry) Thiel.
