MUEX, Mrs. Mary-age 87, of Flint, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 11, 2017 with a 12:00 noon family hour at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2211 Stedron St., Flint, MI. Donald Hogan Jr. officiating. The final resting place for Mrs. Muex will be Lovedale Cemetery, Burton, MI. Family and friends may view Mrs. Muex from 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507.
Mary Frances Muex was born November 8, 1929 in Covington, TN, The daughter of Edna Lois Norfolk and James Sanford. Mary dedicated her life to Jehovah God in September of 1960 in Tennessee, she remained a faithful servant of Jehovah until her death. She and her husband Robert moved their family to Flint, MI in 1968 for better opportunities. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Mary was kind, generous, humble, and always made sure you ate. She enjoyed gardening, laughing and cooking especially on Sundays for family dinners. She really loved having family and friends around, and talking about Jehovah whenever she could. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.
Mary Frances Muex leaves to cherish her memory: 5 sons, Wilbert (Cynthia) Norfolk of Gary, IN; Robert (Arnita) Muex of Burton, MI, Jerry (Karen) Muex of Lawrenceville, GA, Ulyse Muex, Michael Muex both of Flint, MI; 4 daughters, Mai Moore of Memphis, TN, Margaret (Hezekiah) Bibbs, Brenda Muex both of Flint, MI, Angelique Muex of Flushing, MI; 3 brothers, Charles (Edna) Elam of Flint, MI; Willie (Edna) Elam of Nashville, TN; Jimmy Sanford of Covington, TN; 1 sister, Earleane Maben Covington, TN; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends Alpha Omega Boylston and Mattie Harper.
Mary is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Muex; 2 sons, Clarence and Andrew; mother, Edna Lois Tipton; father, James Sanford; 1 brother, Arzell Palmer; 2 sisters, Annie Macklin and Margaret Macklin. |
