LEONARD, Dawn Melinda - Of Clio, formerly of Flint, age 65, died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at home with loving family present.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
Dawn was born in Flint, Michigan on August 20, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Eileen (Stone) Nichols.
She married Thomas Leonard in 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She enjoyed Bingo, puzzles and crafts.
Dawn was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was a wonderful and caring woman.
Surviving are children, David (Yvonne) Smith and
Penny (Jeremiah) Coates;
grandchildren, Haley (Adam) Kendall,
Kaelyn (Greg) Dawes, Joshua Smith, Natalie Smith, Evan Smith, Kelly Smith, Jacob Young and Kristina Walls;
great-grandchild, Alistair Dawes;
siblings, Ellen (Ron) Strang, Robert Nichols, Jr., Richard (Dianne) Nichols, Wendy (John) O’Brien, Stephanie (Mike) McKinstry and Lisa Nichols;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Robert and Eileen Nichols and sister, Denise Nichols.
