CARR, EVELYN LAVERNE – Of Burton, age 86, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Bishop Robert Henson officiating.
Interment of cremains will take place at Flint Memorial Park at a later date.
Visitation 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born in Wappapello, Missouri on June 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Berdette and Bertha (Whittaker) Keen.
In November of 1953 she married Edward L. Carr, Jr.
She was a lifetime member of South Flint Tabernacle.
She was artistic and an amazing cook. She loved her family.
Most of all she was known for her amazing faith in the Lord.
Surviving are children, Dennis (Janet) Carr,
Denise (Gary) Tipton,
Jerry (Margo) Carr and
Cheri (John) Krolewski;
16 grandchildren;
26 ½ great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings.
