DUFFY, Wanda Lou – of Flint, age 76, passed away January 6, 2015 at Fenton Healthcare. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Burton VFW Post #2777, 2260 Belsay Rd., Burton. Memorial contributions may be made to The ALS Association Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
Wanda Lou was born in Des Moines, IA on November 17, 1938, daughter of the late Joseph and Cleo (Bierwirth) Patrick. She moved to Michigan in 1953 with her family. In 1957, she married Wayne Holcomb and resided in Linden with their five children until 1969. Wanda Lou then married Richard Duffy and had another son. They resided in Flint and then in Mt. Morris. She worked for Wal Mart for many years as their greeter.
Wanda Lou is survived by her son, William (Elizabeth) Holcomb; daughter, Beth Holcomb; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; longtime special friends, Kathy Hicks and David McCallum, Sr. She was preceded in death by children, Kelly Panek, Warren “Tige” Holcomb, Wendy Potts and Richie Duffy.
