HOWE, James A. – Of Mt. Morris, age 56, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road,
Pastor
Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Vassar, Michigan.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, 12-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on June 9, 1956, son of the late Robert and Sussannah (Davis) Howe.
On December 3, 1977 he married Carolyn Draper in Millington.
He was President of Oldies but Goodies Car Club.
He loved hotrods, motorcycles, hunting, spending time with his family and was an avid gambler and enjoyed going to the casino.
James retired from GM and was a member of UAW Local #1292.
Surviving are wife, Carolyn;
children, Jody (Jeff) Recker, Angela (Thomas III) Cochran and James Jr. (Rebecca) Howe;
grandchildren, Travis, Emily, Korryn, Ashley, Aaron, Andrew, Aubree and Shelby;
sisters, Carolyn MacAuley, Elizabeth Sullivan and Linda (Jeff) Schmitter;
mother-in-law, Rose Draper;
sister-in-law, Shirley (Floyd) Klauka;
brothers-in-law, Theodore Jr. and Donald Draper;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Howe Jr. and Donald Howe; father-in-law, Theodore Draper and sister-in-law, Susan Hibbard.
