TURNER, Douglas Eugene -- Age 57, of Flint Township died January 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday January 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Steve Bentley officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM on Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the Bridge Church. Douglas was born November 12, 1958 in Flint, the son of Eugene and Florence (Strong) Turner. He lived in Flint his entire life. He graduated Carmen High School in 1976. Douglas married Beverly Ann Rohleder on August 30, 1999 in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. He worked for GM Truck and Bus for 28 years as a Team Leader in the Body Shop. He attended the Bridge Church and the Former Dimond United Methodist Church. Douglas was a member of the U.A.W Local 598. He enjoyed working on cars, and small engines, and remodeling and building homes. He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Flint; daughters, Amy (Curtis) Alfaro of Flint, Laura Turner of Flint; father, Eugene Turner of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Kylie and Rosalee; siblings, Clarence (Karen) Turner of Flushing, Phyllis Terry of Swartz Creek, Curtis Turner, and Peggy Riddell of Flint; several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
