CARTWRIGHT, Deborah Ann (Halka)- Age 66 of Birch Run, died July 18, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 21, 2018, at Resurrection Reformed Church 5225 Calkins Road, Flint. Visitation will be 5PM to 8PM Friday at the Church. Pastors Doug and Kristi Kiel Officiating. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions may be made to Resurrection Reformed Church.
Deborah was born July 15, 1952 in Flint, the daughter of Robert and Vera ( Rumisek) Halka. She graduated from C.M.U. She was a teacher for 38 years with the Chesaning Union Schools; Albee and Big Rock Elementary Schools. Deborah retired in 2014. She loved anything Disney, a true"Disney Queen" Deborah was a member of Resurrection Reformed Church. She was a "bubbly person with a lot of love for others" which was a gift from her Heavenly Father!
Surviving are- brothers, Robert (Marg) Halka, and Thomas (Marsha) Halka; nephews, Joshua Halka, and Jeremy Halka; two great nephews, Merrick and Tarran; two step daughters, four step grandchildren, and 1 step great grandson.
