BUNKER, Elinor E. – Of Flint, age 88, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3408 Miller Road, Flint, Pastor Don Albright officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Maranatha Baptist Church.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Bunker will be at the church from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Elinor was born in Reed City, Michigan on May 10, 1926, daughter of the late Ivan and Elsie (Neuman) Mann. In 1944 Elinor moved to Flint to work at AC Spark Plug.
On July 5, 1947 she married Roy M. Bunker.
Elinor was a longtime member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bunker was a Bridal Consultant at Hudsons for 18 years.
Surviving are husband, Roy;
children, Jerry and wife Lorna,
Janet and husband Gary VanKirk,
Joanne Lankheet,
James and wife Dawn;
11 grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Mann and Wayne Mann.
