Peel, Robin Alan- age 69, of Flushing, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Tyler Sauer will officiate the service. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon Friday until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Baseball League.
Robin was born on April 19, 1955, in Flint, the son of Paul and Barbara Peel. He graduated from Bendle High School in 1973, and began working at The Flint Journal until his retirement in 2009. It was there that he met Jeanine (Gilmet) Peel, whom he married on November 7, 1981. Together, they shared three children, and a life filled with love and laughter. Robin enjoyed playing and watching sports, particularly baseball, and he took great joy in coaching youth baseball, bowling, and basketball.
Robin is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Jeanine; three children, Carrie Peel (Jason Rider), Paul (Cynthia) Peel, and Nicole Peel (Benjamin Dryke). He was a proud papa to his five grandchildren as well, Addison Rider, Benjamin Dryke Jr., and Giuliana, Emilia, and Clara Peel. Robin also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Susan Peel and Barry Peel; niece, Michelle Peel; and nephews, Bryon (Jennifer) Peel-Davis and Wyatt Drake-Peel, in addition to many sisters and brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Barbara, and his big brother Jeff.
