Caren A. Jones
Age 79 of Durand passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Durand Senior Care and Rehabilitation.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 6, 2024 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Caren was born November 1, 1944 in Detroit, the daughter of Albert and Leota (Payne) Curry.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, being outside by the pool and trips to the Casino. Most of all she loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.
Caren married Robert Jones on June 7, 1969 in Durand; he predeceased her on July 25, 2018.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the bookkeeper for Bill's Food Center in Durand.
Caren is survived by her children Scott (Erin) Jones, Kevin (Michelle) Jones, Travis (Melinda) Jones and Lindsay (Nathan) Root; grandchildren Brandon (Maria) Root, Meredith Jones, Drew Jones, Allie Jones, Justin Root, Kilee Jones, William Jones and Lillian Jones; other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Shiawassee County Humane Society or Durand Athletic Boosters.
