Mr. Dale E Ward of Millington passed away late Monday evening January 26, 2015 while at Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc MI, Dale was 60.
Dale was the son of the late Evart & Evelyn
(Thornton) Ward and was born in Flint, Michigan on February 23rd of 1954. Dale graduated from Davison High School in 1972, and after school he went to work for the Buick Motor Division of General Motors. Dale retired in 2009 after 36 years with Buick, and was a proud member of the UAW Local 599. On May 29th of 1992 Dale married Regina (Reggie) Martin and together he and Reggie have celebrated 22 years of marriage. Dale was also a member of the St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville Michigan. He love collecting and occasionally selling antiques, and at one time owned his own little antique shop. Dale love sitting at home watching the birds at the feeder, he also loved hitting the trails and riding the quads with the kids. His greatest passion was family spending time with any and all of them. Though he’s gone he will be in their hearts forever.
Dale leaves his wife Reggie, two children; daughter and son in-law Mindy and husband Mark Sylvester, son Blake and Blake’s girlfriend Jessica Taylor, Grandson Lincoln Sylvester, three sisters and two brothers in-law, Sharon and Lyle Palaghe, Kathy Narsted and Colleen and Mark Goodar. Dale also leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family and many – many friends. Besides his parents Dale is preceded in death by two brothers Wade and Robert (Bob) Ward, nephew Daniel Ward, brother in-law John Narsted, and a step father Harrison Hall.
The Ward family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Thursday January 29, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville from 10:00 am until the services begin. Mass of the Christian burial for Dale will be celebrated on Friday January 30, 2015 at 11:00am at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville Michigan. Burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. If you would like to give a memorial gift in remembrance of Dale you may do so to a charity of your choice.
