FORD, Margaret Ellen (King) – of Goodrich, MI, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Nick Berlanga officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 10:30 AM-2 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 and 2-3 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home.
Margaret was born in Detroit, MI on May 24, 1942, daughter of the late Ralph and Jean (Newcomb) King. On June 15, 1963, she married Charles “Chuck” Ford and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2018. Margaret’s life was a testament to love, generosity, and creativity. She found joy in creating delicious meals, beautifully decorated cakes, and meticulously sewn garments. Her green thumb yielded gardens bursting with life, and her pantry was always stocked with lovingly canned goods. Her pies, adorned with blue ribbons, were a source of pride and joy, showcasing her culinary skill and dedication. Above all, Margaret cherished her family and friends, finding fulfillment in their company and making countless memories together. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched with her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Margaret is survived by 2 children, Teresa Ford and Ralph “Bill” (Stacey) Ford; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Garth, Rebecca, Phoenix (Jacob) and Liliana; 2 great-grandchildren, Lewis and Oakley; 2 siblings, Bonnie (Gordon) Guile and Jerry King; sister-in-law, Linda King; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jean King; husband, Charles “Chuck” Ford and brother, James King.
