SMALLEY, Donna J. - Of Boulder, CO and Flint, age 80, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence.
Per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donna was born in Flint on January 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Marvin and Marian (Willerth) Simons. She attended Michigan State University. Donna, previously married to Fred Rusetzke, married Dr. Ronald Smalley on August 1, 1975 at the Universalist Church of Ann Arbor. Donna and husband Ron attended Resurrection Reformed Church in Flint. They were excited to move to Longmont, Colorado in 1994 to retire in full-view of the Rocky Mountains. Donna possessed a deep appreciation for the arts and loved to express her artistic abilities making jewelry and handmade greeting cards. She owned Rosahnda Arts & Fine Craft, an art gallery in Niwot, CO, which was a life-long dream.
Donna is survived by her children, Liz (Doug) Kajiwara and sons Joseph and Jacob Kajiwara; Rick (Jessica) Rusetzke and daughter Ali (Rob) Bengel; Sarah (Jim) Holder and son David (Sara) Holder; and Laura (Randy) Linn and daughters Ashleigh and Kacey; Todd (Terry) Smalley; and Darren Smalley and his son James; great-grandchildren Evan and Kaylee Holder; and Ella Linn
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ronald Smalley; sister; and her parents.
