TONDU, Donna M. - Age 89, of Burton, died May 28, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday June 5 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5191 Richfield Rd. Flint. Father Roy Horning officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 6-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint and from 10AM Wednesday until the time of service at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Donna was born January 25, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of Arthur Ericson and Anita Cody. She married Elton Tondu in 1949. Donna enjoyed making and painting ceramics, sewing, making quilts and rugs, cooking, hosting parties, spending time with family and friends. She was part of 5 generations in her family. Donna owned and operated Al and Donna's Tavern and Donna'Als Pizzeria. She is survived by her husband, Elton of Burton; sons, Ron (Connie) Tondu of Flint, Randy Tondu of Burton, Roger (Anna) Tondu of Flint; daughters, Roxane (Al) Dinnan of Flint, Kimberly (Rick) Leonard of Flint; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Cody, Rob Cody, Gary Ericson, Jerry O'Bryan; sister, Sandra Ericson; many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Richard; parents; brothers, Dennis, Jack Cody, Ron and Ken Ericson, grandson, Ronald Edward Tondu.
