BISHOP, ROCKY CLARE of Grand Blanc, Michigan: died on June 21, 2024. He was 55. Rocky was born October 8, 1968 in Lapeer, Michigan to the late Tracy and Carol Jean (nee: Gorham) Bishop. He is survived by his by two children, Brittany Bishop, Austin Bishop; one step-daughter, Valerie (Aly) Sy; three siblings, Dawn (Brian Csutoras) Howarth, Lindsay (Kathy) Bishop and Jody (Michael) Foster; his step-mother, Marilynn Bishop; four nieces and nephews, Kristina Evelyn, Tyler Thibeaut, Kasey Howarth and Katurah Shane; three great nieces and nephews, Kevin and Luna Steil and Hudson Evelyn. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin Shane. Rocky was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was formerly employed by the Wayne County Correctional System. Rocky was a gentle giant who loved his family. He loved to eat a great steak. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME 135 South Street, Ortonville, Michigan. Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to DAV. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
