Passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth at the age of 78 years. Diana Billmeier was born in Flint, MI on October 21, 1935 to the late Harold and Anna (Hallman) Billmeier. She married Vernon Burkitt at Our Savior Lutheran Church on May 16, 1959. He survives her. Diana was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
Diana is survived by her husband Vernon, a son, Mark (Kathy) Burkitt, a daughter, Beth (Jeff) Kribs, grandchildren: Adam and Joshua Burkitt and Emma Kribs, a sister, Marlene (Bill) Lippard, sister-in-law, Marion Graves and many nieces and nephews.
Diana and her family wish to express a special thank you to the staff of Tendercare and Wellspring Hospice.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark D. Brandt will officiate with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Diana’s family will receive visitors at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. and at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wellspring Lutheran Services Hospice formerly the Lutheran Home Hospice or St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
