CASCIANO, Ronald Gene – of Clio, age 84, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at Cranberry Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Ronald at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 1-8 PM and at the Church on Thursday from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cardinal Hospice-Wishes.
Ronald was born October 6, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Daniel and Lucy (Zachary) Casciano Sr. He grew up in the Flint area and graduated from Northern High School with the class of 1952. He has resided in the Clio area for the past 46 years. On August 21, 1953 he married Katherine Filpansick and she preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he worked for GM at Buick City for 35 years. Ronald was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church and also a member of the Ushers Club there. He was also a member of UAW Local 599. He enjoyed antique cars, playing softball at 2nd base, the Tigers, Red Wings and was a Michigan Fan. Ronald also enjoyed time with family and was a great mentor to them all.
Surviving are: Children, LouAnn (Richard) Boyd, Debbie (Greg) Weiss; Grandchildren, Heather (Elisha) Gauthier, Kortney (Matt) Simonin, Giles Weiss, Garrett Weiss; Great Granddaughter, Izzabella Simonin; Brother, Daniel Casciano.
