STEVENS, Thelma F. – of Burton, age 89, passed away July 3, 2012 at Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6336 Roberta St., Burton; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-2 PM. and 4-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Scripture Service will be prayed 7 PM Friday. On Saturday, there will be visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Thelma was born in Flint, MI on December 9, 1922. She married George Stevens on August 9, 1942 and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2000. Thelma was a member of Blessed Sacrament. She served on the Altar Society and volunteered at Bingo.
Thelma is survived by her children, James (Marlyn) Stevens, Carolyn Kadlec; grandchildren, Mike (Julie) Troutt, Mark (Kim) Troutt, Brett (Jillyn) Stevens, Lisa (Mike) Lewis, Sherry (Brad) Dye; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Francis (Frank) Chrastek; brother, Don (Margaret) Lewis. She was preceded in death by son in law, Ed Kadlec; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
