Van Dyke, Kimberly Kay of Flushing, age 29, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 87, Swartz Creek, MI, 48473.
Kimberly was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 21, 1987, the daughter of James and Judy (Gregory) Van Dyke. She had a certification in animal grooming and loved taking care of animals. Kimberly was considered the female Doctor Doolittle. She loved caring for all kinds of animals and spent a lot of her time volunteering along with fostering them. Kimberly had a kind heart and was always very generous with her knowledge and time. She graduated from Flushing High School Class of 2005 where she enjoyed Varsity soccer and softball. Kimberly especially loved her family. She was able to touch the lives of many generations. Her memory and love for animals will be carried on.
Kimberly is survived by her parents, James and Judy; brother, Christopher; several aunts, uncles, cousins; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacob & Marie Van Dyke and Alfred & Georgia Gregory.
