Andres, Kenneth Joseph of Flushing, age 85, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Lenz will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. Memory sharing followed by a Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ken was born in Maple Grove on July 29, 1939, the son of Alois and Florence (Tietz) Andres. He married Judy Springer on May 25, 1963, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Ken worked at Chevy in the Hole as a tinsmith, retiring after 41 years. He served in the Michigan National Guard. He was also a faithful member of St. Robert Catholic Church for over 60 years. Ken enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for all of his famous sayings.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judy; daughters, Kristen (Chris) Deloney, Suzette Andres, Kenna Jo (James) Bemis; grandchildren, Tara (John) Wright, Garrett Deloney, Danielle (Garret) Neville, Jenna Bemis, Joseph Bemis; great-grandchildren, Olys, Myles; siblings, Jane Kral, Marian LeRoux, James (Connie) Andres, Dennis (Joan) Andres, Harold Andres, Lenore Andres, Arthur (Diane) Andres; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert, Raymond, and Michael Andres.
