WITT, Donna Belle (Shepard) - Of Flint, age 78, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Avalon Hospice surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011
at Gaines United Methodist Church, 117 East Clinton Street, Gaines, MI, 48436,
Pastor Doug Shepard (Donna’s nephew) officiating.
Burial along with her husband Wayne Albert in Oakwood Cemetery in Gaines, MI.
Visitation 3-8p.m. Tuesday and 11a.m.-3p.m. and 5-8p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mrs. Witt will be at the church 10a.m. Thursday.
Donna was born on March 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Dewey and Nellie Shepard and was a resident of Flint most of her life. Donna was an active member of the Flint Elks BPOE Lodge #222, Flint Bowman’s Club, Flint Bowling Association along with several other organizations. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, basket weaving, painting, activities with her husband, including archery, fishing, and motorcycling.
Surviving are children, Audey and wife Janet of Swartz Creek, Christine and husband Paul Jaworowicz of Flint;
5 grandchildren, Kathy Hess, Jason Potvin, Lori and husband Will Rouse, Stacey Bowen, Angela and husband Kris O’Neal;
9 great-grandchildren;
3 brothers, Duane and wife Betty Shepard, Cecil Shepard, Lawrence and wife Marjorie Shepard.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Wayne Albert.
