DICOSOLA, Guy - Of Swartz Creek, age 86, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Robert Byrne from Blessed Trinity Church in Frankenmuth officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or Cancer Care.
Visitation 1-8pm Monday and 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Guy was born in Triggiano, Italy on August 29, 1930, and moved to Michigan when he was 18. On April 11, 1959, he married Frances Sue Pittman in Flint. Guy served in the United States Army during the Korean War and he was decorated with the Korean Service Ribbon, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and was an avid bowler. Guy was a life insurance salesman for Life of Virginia.
Surviving are wife, Sue;
Children, Patricia and husband Stephen Jaksa of Mt. Pleasant, Connie and husband Chris Stover of Swartz Creek, Tammy and husband, Scott Beck of Fenton and Annette and husband John Laureto of Grand Blanc;
10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren;
Sister, Antonia Morolla of Mt. Morris;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and Frank and sisters, Rosetta and Maria.
