WALKER, Eugene C. “Kingfish” – Of New Lothrop, age 86, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Saint Mary's of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, 4475 North Linden Road, Flint, Pastor Jerry Larkin and Reverend Marshall Delay officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Walker will be at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Eugene was born in Parma, Missouri on July 5, 1928 the son of Lester and Ida (Bridge) Walker and was a resident of Michigan since he was 19 years old.
On June 8, 1957 he married Helen Blankenship.
Mr. Walker was employed by GM for over 30 years.
Surviving are wife, Helen;
five children, David (Debra),
Lester (Joy),
Robert (Renita),
Vanessa (Manley) Brokaw and
Naomi (Doug) Filkins;
14 grandchildren;
28 great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Imogene Burnham and Margaret Gettings.
