DAVIS, Leota A. – of Flint, MI, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jerry Robertson officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM – 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Leota.
Leota was born on January 12, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, to Ernest and Flossie (Hayward) Carpenter. She married Earl Davis on October 10, 1965, in Flint, where they built a loving life together until his passing on September 13, 2003. Leota was deeply involved in her church community, dedicating her time to helping others, especially through her work at the Caring Place. She had a vibrant spirit and cherished spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, and exploring new places while traveling. Leota loved the outdoors, often enjoying peaceful days on the boat fishing or camping under the stars. Her warm heart and joyful presence touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of love and kindness.
Leota is survived by daughters: Jean (Jim) Kloska, Jane (Kenneth) Lovejoy, and Cheri Turvey; grandchildren: Sara (Jim) Teuber, Melissa (Dave) Edmonds, Jennifer Ball, and Junior Carter; great- grandchildren: Brendan Edmonds, Logan Edmonds, Andreya Lesser, Justin Teuber, Elizabeth Teuber, John Teuber, Michael Teuber, Jasmine Ball, Jeana Ball, Jacob Ball, Jeffrey M. Lovejoy, Cyndi Carter, Joshua Carter, and Abigail Carter; great greatgrandchildren: Wyatt, Leo, and Roman Lesser, and Simon Krim; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Earl Davis; daughter, Darlene (the late Walter) Carter; and grandson, Jeffrey S. Lovejoy.
