SPEES, Barbara Ann - Age 81, of Byron, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie and Saginaw, passed away May 26, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date when gathering restrictions are lifted. Barbara was born January 10, 1939 in Saginaw, the daughter of Wilfred "Bud" and Edna (Passow) Dilts. She was married to the love of her life, Ronald E. Spees on April 2, 1960. She enjoyed sewing, making Barbie clothes and costumes. She also loved gardening, singing, cooking, bird watching and collecting angels and dolls. Barbara enjoyed spending her retirement years on Sugar Island. The most important thing to Barbara was family. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Ronald (Lisa) Spees Jr., Thomas (Morgan) Spees, Debra (Jeff) Polley, Patricia Lynn Spees; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sisters-in-law, Nancy, Agnes and Carolyn and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Spees; brothers, Wesley, Dale, Floyd, Richard and Ronald Dilts; sisters, Joan (Arnold) Stenzel.
