Donna A. Krakker, 84, a lifetime Lapeer resident, went to be with her Lord on Monday April 6, 2015. She was born on October 10, 1930 in Lapeer to parents Jay and Grace (Maybee) Dunlap. She married Peter S. Krakker on June 5, 1948 in Lapeer.
Mrs. Krakker was a woman of Lapeer; she worked at the Oakdale State Home for 10 years, Vesely Manufacturing Comp. and Cummings Shoe Store. Donna loved caring for her flower garden and enjoyed being a member of the Davison VFW Auxiliary. Ultimately, she was a wonderful mother; took the girls camping, to Girl Scouts, picnics or swimming. Her family loved her very much and will miss her dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memory, survivors, daughters, Nancy (Clyde) Pearsall of Davison, Dawn Nass of Lapeer; son-in-law, Gary Nelson; grandchildren, Michael Nass, Tim & Ann Nass, Katheryn Pearsall; siblings: Ronald (Inga) Dunlap and Judy Touchette. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 62 years: Peter Krakker in 2010, daughter: Debra Nelson in 2009; granddaughter, Kimberly Pearsall, her parents, sisters: Velma Schlaud and Pauline Rhein.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Lapeer.
A memorial service will be 2pm Thursday April 9, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, Lapeer, The Rev. Sue Rich officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm through the service, all at the church Thursday. Interment of cremated remains will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com
